CHAPTER IV. BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTIONCHAPTER IV. BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION\ARTICLE 9. DEMOLITION PERMITS

It shall be unlawful for any person to demolish, raze, wreck or otherwise remove any building or permanent improvement without first obtaining a demolition permit.

Application for a demolition permit shall be made to the city clerk and shall contain the following information:

(a)   Name of landowner.

(b)   Name of contractor, if any.

(c)   Business address of contractor, if applicable.

(d)   Location of building or improvement to be demolished.

(e)   Commencement date of project.

(f)    Completion date of project.

(g)   Amount and terms of performance bond, if any.

(h)   Such additional information as required by the city council.

There shall be assessed a fee for the application for a demolition permit, as prescribed in section 1-118 and such fee shall accompany the application.

Application for a demolition permit shall be made to the city clerk and such application shall be considered by the building inspector after filing; a demolition permit shall be issued by the city clerk upon approval of the building inspector.
